Maddamasetty Laxmana

Maddamasetty Laxmana is his second son. He has studied B. Com. in Vizianagaram and obtained his M. Com. from Andhra University in 1959. He has joined Dandakaranya Project as U.D.C. He has retired in 1993 after working for 9 years in Nirmal and Vizianagaram as Income Tax Insperctor. He is known as "Guruvu Gaaru" for giving educational guidance as he is the first Postgraduate in the family. During his long career, he has worked for the upliftment of his office employees. He is married to Padmavathi, only daughter of Angajala Krishna Murthy in 1947 at Balijipeta. They had two sons and two daughters. They are Maddamasetty Sivasubrahmanyam, Maddamasetty Nagaveni, Maddamasetty Nagaraju and Maddamasetty Sravana Gowri. After the death of his wife Padmavathi in 2003, he is settled in Vizianagaram and spending time in public service.


Maddamasetty Sivasubrahmanyam is their eldest son. He has completed graduation and established in Business. He is married to Angajala Satyaprabha, daughter of Angajala Visweswara Rao in 2001. They had a daughter Chy. Bhanu Chitra.

Maddamasetty Nagaveni is their eldest daughter. She is married to Velidi Muralikrishna in 1993. They had a son Chy. Anjaneya Ganesh Sai and a daughter Chy. Geeta Lahiri.

Maddamasetty Nagaraju is their second son. He has joined Postal Accounts Department. He has succeeded in selecting as Income Tax Inspector and working in Hyderabad. He is married to Velidi Usha Padmini, second daughter of Velidi Venkata Ramana. They had a son Chy. Sai Phani Teja Aneesh.

Maddamasetty Sravana Gowri is their second daughter. She had done M. A. from Andhra University. She is married to Puppala Ramakrishna, eldest son of Puppala Balakrishna. They had a daughter Chy. Ragaharshini. She died of Heart failure at Visakhapatnam in 2007.

Maddamasetty Seethayyamma

Maddamasetty Seethayyamma is his Eldest daughter. She is married to Bandaru Venkata Sanyasappayya, son of Bandaru Satyam in 1947. The marriage function was held very grandly for seven days in Balijipeta. They had four sons and five daughters. They are Bandaru Prabhavathi, Bandaru Mallikarjuna Rao, Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy, Bandaru Kalavathi, Bandaru Venkata Jagannadha Rao, Bandaru Rama Devi, Bandaru Vijaya Lakshmi, Bandaru Srinivasa Rao and Bandaru Nagamani.


Bandaru Prabhavathi is their eldest daughter. She is married to Angajala Jagannadha Rao, son of Angajala Venkatesham in 1967. Their only son is Angajala Prem Sai. He is now studying Engineering at G.M.R. College of Engineering at Rajam.

Bandaru Mallikarjuna Rao is their eldest son. He is married to Maddamasetty Mangatayaru, the only daughter of Maddamasetty Sriramulappayya in 1977. He has joined Revenue department in 1973 and reached the position of Special Deputy Collector by hard work and retired from service in 2009. He was felicitated as the Best Mandal Revenue Officer and Deputy Collector many times during his dedicated service. He is simple, down to earth person and helpful to the people. He has taken responsibility of the entire family, as his father died early. He is leading the combined family with dignity. They have two sons Bandaru Kalyan Chakravarthi and Bandaru Phani Chakravarthi. Kalyan Chakravarthi is married to Chy. Bindu Madhavi, only daughter of Angajala Giri. Phani Chakravarthi is recently married and presently working in Bangalore as Software Engineer with Siemans.

Bandaru Satyanarayana Murthy is their second son. He is married to Ragalatha, eldest daughter of Maddamasetty Bharata Rao in 1979. He has taken the responsibility of looking after the Wooden depot and developed as a good businessman. He is associated with his elder brother in looking after the family responsibilities. He has entered politics and elected as Mandal Congress President and twice as M.P.T.C. He made his wife as Sarpanch to the Balijipeta Panchayati. They have three sons: Bandaru Jyotish, Bandaru Mahesh and Bandaru Nagesh. Bandaru Jyotish after graduation, helping the family business. Bandaru Mahesh has completed M.B.A. and established his own Placement company in Hyderabad. Bandaru Nagesh is presently doing his M.B.A.

Bandaru Kalavathi is their second daughter. She was adopted by Maddamasetty Savitramma and married to her brother Maddamasetty Mohan Rao in 1974 at Salur. They have two daughters: Maddamasetty Gowri and Maddamasetty Sriphani. Maddamasetty Gowri is married to Bandaru Srinivasa Rao. Maddamasetty Sriphani is married to Barigeda Muralidhar, son of Barigeda Venkata Ramana.

Bandaru Venkata Jagannadha Rao is their third son. He is married to Indugu Padmavathi, the only daughter of Indugu Narayana in 1984. He is working as Manager in Jute Corporation of India. He is very helpful and actively participates in all the family functions. They have a son Bandaru Kishore and a daughter Bandaru Divya. Bandaru Kishore has completed Engineering and presently working in New Delhi. Bandaru Divya is now doing her postgraduation in Andhra University.

Bandaru Rama Devi is their third daughter. She is married to Maddamasetty Gopala Rao, son of Maddamasetty Appa Rao in 1979. They have a son Maddamasetty Surya Prakash and a daughter Maddamasetty Himabindu. Maddamasetty Surya Prakash is presently working as Software engineer. Maddamasetty Himabindu is married to Barigeda Srikanth, son of Barigeda Rama Rao in 2005.

Bandaru Vijaya Lakshmi is their fourth daughter. She is married to Indugu Venkata Ramana, son of Indugu Narayana in 1984. They have two sons: Indugu Sai and Indugu Shiridi. Indugu Sai has completed Engineering graduation and presently working as Software Engineer.

Bandaru Srinivasa Rao is their fourth son. He is married to Maddamasetty Gowri, elder daughter of Maddamasetty Mohan Rao in 1998. He is associated with his elder brother in the Business and Agriculture and also running his Cable T.V. Network. They have a son Vinesh.

Bandaru Nagamani is their fifth daughter. She is married to Maddamasetty Venkata Ravi, son of Maddamasetty Suryanarayana in 1995. They have two sons Maddamasetty Venkata Sai and Maddamasetty Subhakar.

Maddamasetty Sriramulappayya

Maddamasetty Sriramulappayya was their eldest son. He was educated at Samsthanam High School in Bobbili and successfully completed S.S.L.C. in 1947. He had been helping his father in the Business at Balijipeta. After the demice of his father, he jointly started Tamarind business with Nephew Angajala Jagannadhayya at Salur. He has taken the entire responsibility of the family. He brought up his brothers, married sisters and educated grandchildren to a progressive path. He is very soft, liberal and helpful to the poor. He used to advise in case of conflicts without bias and earned name as "Dharmaraju".

He has married Barigeda Suryakantam, second daughter of Barigeda Narasayya in 1952 at Balijipeta. They had two sons and a daughter. Eldest son is Maddamasetty Rajagopal. Third daughter is Maddamasetty Mangatayaru. Second son Maddamasetty krishna Rao died at the age of 10 years.


Maddamasetty Rajagopal, is familiar with the Accounts of Sri Venkateswara Swamy Devasthanam of Balijipeta, for which his grandfather was the trustee. He is married to Adimulam Vijayalaxmi, daughter of Adimulam Ramana of Jeypore in 1979. They had a daughter Swapna and a son Sandeep. She died of illness. Later Rajagopal is married to Angajala Jamuna Rani daughter of Angajala Koteswara Rao and Rani Shakuntala. Their daughter Swapna is married to Muppidi Srinivasa Rao in 1999. Sandeep is currently working as Mechanical Engineer with Gammon India Ltd. in Himachal Pradesh.

Maddamasetty Mangatayaru has studied Intermediate. She is married to Bandaru Mallikarjuna Rao in 1977. They have two sons Bandaru Kalyan Chakravarthi and Bandaru Phani Chakravarthi. Kalyan Chakravarthi is married to Chy. Bindu Madhavi, only daughter of Angajala Giri. Phani Chakravarthi is recently married.

Brief Introduction

Maddamasetty Jagannadhayya was born to Sri Maddamasetty Narayana Swamy and Venkayyamma at Ganguvari Sigadam of erstwhile Srikakulam district, Andhra Pradesh. He was their only son. He lost his father at the age of 9 months and shifted to Balijipeta with his mother to their Grandfather Angajala Sriramulappayya. He lived and grown with six of his uncles. He studied at Primary school and trained in family Business of the grandfather. After the demise of his grandfather, he along with his uncles Angajala Krishnayya and Chittappayya, established his business on the name of Madddamasetty Jagannadhayya. They developed this business and took it to a grand scale with head office at Balijipeta and branch offices at Donkinavalasa, Komatipalli and Vizianagaram. He was well versed with the Hindu Epics like Ramayana, Mahabharath and Bhagavadgeeta. His favorite god is Srirama of Bhadrachalam and used recite Rama nama regularly. He takes care of his relatives and trained many of them in business and helped in their education, thereby helping them to establish in high positions.


He was an Indian Freedom activist and follower of Mahatma Gandhi. He participated in many activities during the Independant struggles under Congress pary along with Angajala Gandhi Venkatesam. He was close to V. V. Giri, Kadapa Koti Reddy, Bezawada Gopala Reddy and others. He was host of many of them during their visit in his house.

He was married Chittamma, daughter of Angajala Ranga Jagannadhayya. They had a son and a daughter. Both his wife and children died early. Later he was married to Narayanamma, daughter of Angajala Peda Pedappayya. All the present generation are thier children and grandchildren.

Maddamasetty Jagannadhayya and Narayanamma had 6 sons and 4 daughters. They are : 1. Maddamasetty Sriramulappayya, 2. Maddamasetty Seethayyamma, 3. Maddamasetty Lakshmana, 4.
